As healthcare adapts to the dynamic world, there is a need for Christian workers and leaders to change the world. Through the Associate of Science in Health Sciences at Regent University, you will gain knowledge that will help you qualify for entry-level roles in science and healthcare. You can also use the degree as a foundation to earn your bachelor’s in a related field of interest. The specific series of courses in this program is carefully selected so that a student completing this program will have all the prerequisite courses needed to apply to most professional nursing programs.

Human Anatomy & Physiology II

Second of two-semester series. Structure and function of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive, endocrine, and urinary systems. Three credit hours lecture with one credit hour lab.

BIOL 210

Nutrition

Basic principles of human nutrition are investigated, emphasizing the nutrients, food sources, and their use in the body for growth and health throughout life. Three credit hours lecture.

BIOL 321

General Microbiology

Viruses and microorganisms: morphology, taxonomy, genetics, physiology, pathogenicity and biodiversity. Three credit hours lecture with one credit hour lab. Prerequisites: Grade of C or better in BIOL 122 or BIOL 202 and CHEM 101 or CHEM 121.

CHEM 101

Introduction to Chemistry with Lab

Principles and concepts of chemical thought and basic chemical laboratory procedures. Three credit hours lecture with one credit hour lab.

PSYC 102

Introduction to Psychology

Examination of the major themes in the study and practice of psychology, such as human nature, motivation, change and development, and spiritual struggles, as well as applied psychological knowledge for everyday life.
