Regent University Welcomes Record-Breaking Freshman Class

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Aug. 14, 2024) – The freshman class entering Regent University this fall is the largest in the university’s history.

Over 500 new freshmen will begin classes on-campus on August 19—the largest  freshman cohort in Regent’s 47-year history, increasing 20% compared to last year.

“We are delighted to welcome these world changers to Regent’s campus,” said Dr. Claire Foster, Executive Vice President for Advancement & Enrollment at Regent. “Our world-class education is bolstered by a Christ-centered culture that offers a framework to prepare our graduates for rewarding and impactful futures.”

As the second largest private nonprofit university in Virginia, Regent has over 11,500 students registered for the Fall 2024 semester, both online and on-campus in Virginia Beach. More than 13,500 students are expected to enroll at Regent throughout the 2024-25 academic year.

This surge comes as Regent University strengthens its academics with the addition of new degree programs and faculty appointments.
