Regent University to Host Virtual Event to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of 9/11
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (August 16, 2021) – September 11, 2001, was a day that changed America. In commemoration of the 20th anniversary, Regent University’s Robertson School of Government will host a virtual event – 9/11: A 20-year Retrospective – on September 9, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. ET. “Many still struggle with the events of September 11, 2001,” said Michele Bachmann, dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University. “Through this monumental event, we will honor and remember those who lost their lives, and we will explore key issues surrounding the events of September 11.”
Expert speakers and panelists will examine terrorism from a historical perspective, discuss contemporary issues facing America, and look toward the future. Featured speakers include Attorney General John Ashcroft, former Intelligence Committee Chairman Ambassador Pete Hoekstra, NYC Police Chief on 9/11 Bernie Kerik, FBI Agent Brig Barker, and more.
