Regent University Launches the Center for Christian Thought & Action

Interrupting the current climate of culture and solving the world’s wicked problems is Regent University’s Center for Christian Thought & Action (CCTA), which officially launched Thursday, November 1.

This new online platform features interviews with leading scholars, thinkers and world-changers for their take on solutions for the world’s unsolvable feats.

“Regent, through the CCTA wants to come into the space and try to provide not only moderating, thoughtful Christian voices, but solutions that will help us move forward as a culture,” said CCTA director, Rob Schwarzwalder. “Jesus said of himself, ‘I am the light of the world.’ He told us to be his lights and to be ‘salt’ in our culture.”

The CCTA will cover a multitude of topics ranging from faith, culture, leadership, education, media and entertainment, business, law and government, cybersecurity, and health and wellness.

To date, the CCTA showcases interviews with world leaders such as former governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee; author and social critic Os Guinness; former HP CEO Carly Fiorina, and New York Times best-selling author Jon Acuff.

Schwarzwalder said that if Christ’s followers are to fulfill his command to be the world’s “salt,” the first step is to fully understand the issues the world is experiencing.

“From there, we have to integrate reason with faith, knowledge with our Christian understanding of the world,” said Schwarzwalder. “Then we can bring solutions that we believe will bring healing and hope to the issues that so desperately need it in our country and in our world.”
