Regent University Honors College Unveils New State-of-the-Art Facility
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Jan. 31, 2024) – Today, Regent University made history with the grand opening of its new cutting-edge Honors College facility that integrates impressive technology with a dynamic use of space.
Regent’s renovations have revolutionized the third floor of the Divinity Building. The facility now houses contemporary group study spaces, a comfy reading room, large and sunny tutorial spaces, and more. Innovative enhancements are also visible throughout, including wireless touch-enabled screens for presentation and collaboration.
“Our new world-class facility is designed to inspire Regent’s Honors College students to reach for success without limits,” said Dr. Simon Tarr, Dean of the Honors College and the Director of the School of Communication and the Arts. “Regent’s already sophisticated honors curricula is now elevated by technology and dedicated spacing that aids in maximizing instruction, engagement, and collaboration. We expect this investment to enrich the student experience and make way for imaginative and groundbreaking thought.”
Enrollment in Regent University Honors College has grown to nearly 300 students. A total of 104 new students were inducted into the Honors College Class of 2023—the university’s largest incoming class of freshmen to date.
Honors College students are full-time, on campus undergraduates from all majors across the university. In addition to Regent’s vibrant learning community, Honors College students can take advantage of extensive faculty research and mentorship connections, advanced seminars and experiential learning opportunities, priority class registration, graduate library privileges, access to national and international industry leaders, travel funds, and more.
