Regent University Founder, Chancellor & CEO Dr. M. G. “Pat” Robertson Releases New Book, “I Have Walked with the Living God”

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (July 14, 2020) – Today, Regent University founder, chancellor and CEO Dr. M. G. “Pat” Robertson released his new book entitled “I Have Walked with the Living God” published by Charisma House. The book provides an inside look at a world-changer’s life and shares warm and riveting stories about a God who brings miracles into the daily lives of those who trust Him.

“What I want everybody to know is that God is accessible,” said Robertson. “He is the Creator of the universe, who is accessible. He hears us and He loves us, and He has a role for us. His Word says, ‘I have a plan for you.’ His Word says that a simple person who has God’s promises can see miraculous things happen. God is so great. The God we serve is a God of miracles.”

Robertson is a globally-renowned leader, broadcaster, philanthropist, educator, author, and accomplished businessman. He founded the first Christian television network in the United States, The Christian Broadcasting Network, of which he is chairman and whose flagship program, The 700 Club, he hosts; Regent University, where he is chancellor and CEO; Operation Blessing, an international humanitarian organization; the American Center for Law and Justice; and several other organizations.

“For me, I’ve learned to be quiet before the Lord and listen to Him. God will speak to us,” said Robertson. “The Bible says, ‘You will hear a voice in your ear saying if you go to the right or the left, this is the way; you walk in it.’ And the Holy Spirit? We are filled with the Spirit to give us direction.”

Robertson ran for President of the United States in 1988. He is past president of the prestigious Council on National Policy. He served on President Ronald Reagan’s Task Force on Victims of Crime. He previously served on the Board of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership and on the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisors in the State of Virginia. Robertson also founded and served as a past president of the Christian Coalition of America.

“People out there want to know if there is a real God. They’re hungry for Him,” said Robertson. “I can tell you that there is a God who is true and who answers prayer. He’s there for you. He is love. He isn’t just loving. He’s love itself. And He will teach us if we listen to Him. He will bring blessing to us beyond anything we could imagine.”

Born March 22, 1930, Robertson graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts from Washington and Lee University and received a juris doctor from Yale University Law School and a master of divinity from New York Theological Seminary. His twenty-one books include The Secret Kingdom, which was the number one religious book in America. Pat and his wife, Dede, have four children, fourteen grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren.
