Regent University Announces New Bachelor of Science in Financial Management

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (Aug. 21, 2023) – Regent University is bolstering its undergraduate catalog with a new Bachelor of Science in Financial Management. This on-campus and online degree program is open now for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 enrollment.

The program will provide a comprehensive grasp of banking, financial institutions, managing financial assets, monetary policy, market structures, international trading, investments, and valuation techniques, as well as risk assessment—among a list of other profitable subjects.

“Having an advanced understanding of finance can equip a person with the knowledge to help generate economic success and sustainability,” said Dr. Joseph J. Bucci, Department Chair for Business, Leadership & Management at Regent. “This new degree is designed to produce financial leaders who are ready to serve by coaching, guiding, and educating clients on making wise fiscal decisions.”

Financial management students will complete their Bachelor of Science degree in a total of 120+ credit hours. Graduates can expect to be globally competitive—with the skills necessary to excel in government, a corporate setting, or overseeing the portfolios of individual clients.

In addition to the academic program, students have the opportunity to put the knowledge that they gain to the test by joining the Regent University Investment Club, which provides experience in investing in the market. Prior to summer break, the Club made its first investments in six stocks with a heavy tilt towards the financial sector—a move that is currently performing well.
