Regent Law Achieves Record-Breaking Employment and Ranks as a Top School for Judicial Clerkships
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (April 28, 2021) – Regent University School of Law is pleased to announce the highest employment percentage in the school’s history – landing at 96% for the class of 2020, according to the National Association for Law Placement 10-month employment calculation. Regent Law also ranked 22nd in the nation for judicial clerkships.
“Regent University School of Law has a proven record of producing practice-ready, purpose-driven attorneys who impact the world,” said Dr. Gerson Moreno-Riaño, executive vice president for Academic Affairs at Regent University. “Achieving this record-breaking employment rate and judicial clerkship rate are extraordinary milestones for Regent Law and, more importantly, significant victories for our graduates.”
Of the class of 2020, 22.08% of graduates have secured judicial clerkships to date, ranking Regent 22nd in the nation for judicial clerkships. 51.85% of the 2020 honors graduates have secured judicial clerkships. Graduates in the class of 2020 hold positions at federal and state courts and other federal departments, including:
- United States Federal District Court
- United States Federal Court of Claims
- Virginia Supreme Court
- North Carolina Supreme Court
- Second Judicial District of Alaska
- United State Department of Justice, Honors Program
- United States Air Force JAG Corp.
2020 Graduates also secured positions at top law firms, including:

- Kaufman & Canoles
- Pierce McCoy
