Military Times names Regent University as “Best for Vets: Colleges 2020”
On Thursday, October 31, Military Times named Regent University among the top institutions in the “Online & Nontraditional Schools” category of “Best for Vets: Colleges.”
This is the third year Regent has received this prestigious distinction.
The Military Times generates the study each year to recognize institutions of higher education for providing excellent educational opportunities for America’s veterans. The publication evaluates schools using a 120+ question survey alongside data from the Veterans Affairs Department and three education department databases.
At fourth on the list, Regent sits among other notable universities such as Saint Leo University.
“We are committed to fulfilling the promise of being military friendly,” said Senior Director of Military and Veteran Affairs Bob Habib. “Regent’s Military Resource Center empowers the military community. We provide support and resources to help students transition to academic life and promote professional and spiritual growth.”
The secret sauce of the Military Resource Center is the one-stop experience it provides. The team creates a military-supportive environment where service members, veterans and military family member can achieve their academic, transitional and spiritual goals.
“We understand the unique benefits and challenges associated with this student population, and we streamline whatever we can to help them succeed.”
In addition to this accolade, Regent has also been recognized as one of the Top 10 Gold Military Friendly schools by Military Friendly® for the university’s success in creating sustainable benefits important to the military community.
Regent’s consistent reputation has also earned Aurora Foundation’s Green Zone designation for its exceptional faculty and staff who ensure assistance to military students.
