Regent University Devotionals
At Regent, learning is valued in and out of the classroom. Devotionals are an accessible, enriching, and free way to dive deeper into the Word of God and develop spiritually. Regent University, partnering with YouVersion, produces devotionals with the hope that all who participate are encouraged, inspired, and driven to share the love and teachings of Jesus in the world around them.
Read passages of Scripture and the accompanying devotionals written by faculty who share what the Lord is teaching and has taught them. To read Regent’s advent devotional on YouVersion, visit bible.com or download the app! iPhone/iPad | Android
We Have Seen the Lord
The Gospel of John brackets the narrative of Holy Week by including two women named Mary: Mary of Bethany and Mary Magdalene. Their eyes were opened; they saw the true nature of Jesus and proclaimed it to others. In a prophetic act, Mary of Bethany anointed his feet for burial. After the burial of Jesus, Mary Magdalene visited his tomb before dawn. There she encountered her risen Savior and was sent by Him to announce His resurrection. This Holy Week, journey with the Gospel of John so that you too might proclaim: “I have seen the Lord!” (John 20:18)
