Regent University Wins “Best of Higher Education” Gold Award by Coastal Virginia Magazine

Each year, Coastal Virginia Magazine readers vote for their top picks in notable businesses, restaurants and education institutions in the Hampton Roads area.

The annual surveys are notorious within the community at large – this year, Regent University was recognized as “Best in Higher Education” and for “Best Performing Arts Center.”

The Founders Inn and Spa received several accolades as well, including “Overall Best Restaurant,” and “Best Spa.”

Coastal Virginia Business (CoVABiz) also noted Regent’s School of Business & Leadership (SBL) as a 2018 Gold Winner in its Best of Business awards in the areas of Best Business School and Best MBA program.

“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized in our own community that we love and appreciate so very much. Coastal Virginia is an amazing region and I know there are so many entrepreneurial ideas that spring up for a whole new generation of innovators that come to us as students,” said SBL dean, Dr. Doris Gomez. “It is truly a great honor to be able to show our community what a jewel we have in Regent’s SBL and the MBA program in particular.”

Gomez attributes this recognition from the community both to “God’s glory” and the faculty, staff, students as well as the alumni of the school.

“It’s an amazing seal of approval for the quality we are striving for, the curriculum, our caliber of students and alumni, as well as the mentorship, coaching and care they receive from our faculty – it’s bar none!” said Gomez. “This is something we’re incredibly grateful for and we’re very proud of.”
