“This ingenious spoof of the classic Hitchcock film features on-stage train chases, dive bombing airplanes and a ridiculously talented cast of four actors playing over 150 zany roles,” said Eric Harrell, producing artistic director of Tidewater Stage. “A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft, The 39 Steps is pure theatre magic.”
The 39 Steps ran in London’s West End for nine years, making it the fifth longest-running play in the history of London theatre. It ran for 771 performances on Broadway, has been revived twice Off-Broadway and has been produced in over 20 languages.
