Kimberley Coddington, Ph.D.

Bio

Kimberley Coddington, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the School of Psychology & Counseling at Regent University. She received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Gannon University in 2006 and completed a pre-doctoral internship and two years of post-doctoral training in neuropsychology.  She is licensed in two states and has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Virginia since 2020 and a Licensed Psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania since 2007.

Dr. Coddington has more than 16 years of experience including clinical work, supervision of trainees, teaching and administration. She has an eclectic background, including a wide range of experiences in multiple clinical environments such as inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, rehabilitation hospital settings, nursing homes and assisted living communities, community mental health, and private practice. Her clinical specialty includes the provision of psychological and neuropsychological assessments for differential diagnosis and treatment planning. Dr. Coddington’s Board Certification as a Clinical Neuropsychologist is in process. She is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, American Psychological Association, Virginia Academy of Clinical Psychologists, and Pennsylvania Psychological Association.

Dr. Coddington’s research interests include factors impacting positive aging, cognitive rehabilitation, and the impact of neurological disorders on cognitive function including dementia, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and concussion. Dr. Coddington hopes to train students in the practical application of neuropsychology with the goal of improving people’s lives.
